Who had ever thought that the guy who once swore eternal loyalty to OT, AKA as Carlito Tevez, would try to backstab our staff and Sir Alex Ferguson as much as is happening nowadays?
Earlier this year the Argentinean said this about Manchester United and the backroom staff:
From the moment I arrived, he has treated me with respect as a person. His greatest quality is that, for him, there are no star players – everyone is equal, whether they cost many millions or are a young player who hasn’t played many times for the team. When I see him work he reminds me of Carlos Bianchi, who was my coach at Boca Juniors in Argentina. Both have had a big influence on my career, and both know how to treat people.
There was no sign about him wanting to leave but then the public whining started, mainly whenever he left the pitch. Outcries to the fans became more and more obvious and it started to become clear that he would leave. In June the news broke that he was offered a new 5 year deal at £120k/week, which he refused. Yesterday when he was announced at the Council House he said what his reason to leave Old Trafford were:
The fact that I am not staying at United is not because of the fans, it is because Sir Alex Ferguson and David Gill did not do enough to keep me there. If it was down to the fans, I would still be there.
This announcement came only hours after SAF had announced that he already knew since several months that Carlos Tevez was going to leave:
I half expected that a long time back
Maybe in January because I spoke to him and gave him an offer, I think it was on Inter Milan night and he never came back to me.
I rang him on holiday, texted him twice and he never got back to me, so he had made his mind up.
Our once favourite Argentinean declared though that ManUtd never made him an offer and did not try hard enough to keep him. Let’s forget about the mega million deal of £25m and more than £30m of wages over 5 years, which would make him one of our best paid players in history, up there with Rio Ferdinand who every season more and shows his loyalty and desire to become a ManUtd legend.
I was there for two years and Sir Alex never called or sent any text messages in that time
The only time he talked to me was after a match against Roma to discuss a situation about going to play for Argentina.
It doesn’t seem that this is the way to treat a player in two years at the club. It doesn’t seem there is a line of communication
I personally feel bad for once having liked the attitude of Carlos Tevez, I feel bad for having allowed a player to celebrate our Champions League victory in an Argentinean kit. I feel bad for having wished OT and Tevez would find an agreement because he is a fighting bull terrier on the pitch.
I feel bad because let’s admit it… Carlos Tevez, you are a C*nt!
