Mikael Silvestre’s injury, piqued up in yesterday’s game against Everton, has been confirmed by OT. The French defender suffers a knee ligament injury and is out for unknown period.
We now officially have a left-back problem, after the departure of Heinze for Real Madrid, but maybe this is the chance for Gerard Pique, the Spanish U21 international, to break through in our first squad, or maybe Jonny Evans.
In other news, Citeh won again today, and moved to second spot in the league table. It was a horrific game and Aston had many chances. I think the game showcased very well that Sven didn’t actually merit the Manager of the Month August award, eventho he has been performing rather well. But honestly… what has City shown? Attractive football? Nada, noppes, zilch!
Richards (who surely merited his award!) and Dunne have been outstanding, but that’s about it! I think Rafa and Arsene definitely deserve this award more than Swede Boy, even though they have played a game less than City in August.
If the standards of the voters have dropped to 9points out of twelve, things look good for SAF to claim the award this month. And that without playing marvelous football. Although when we compare our possession and territory stats this month, to Citeh’s last month. We are superior on every level.
Also… we know that at the end of the season we will be competing for several top prizes again, and surely qualify once more for the Champions League… not end 13th as usual.
